Pros: none Cons: difficult to navigate between programs, preloaded with useless sites & programs
Did I mention that I hate it? I prefer Internet Explorer for my browsing, but I began using Netscape more after all of the problems with viruses in Outlook. I was using version 4.7 which though I found it cumbersome, I was ...

Pros: bundled browser, email, newsreader and web building abilities. Cons: Too smart for it's own good
Revision at bottom of review.
Dear Netscape:
I hate to have to write to you like this, and on such short notice. I have noticed lately that you haven’t been yourself though. I thought maybe it was just a phase you...

Pros: Handles code as is without fixing user errors Cons: Poor table rendering, doesn't recognise all CSS elements
This is a counter opinion to aaanativearts review of Netscape Navigator.

Pros: great features, AOL compatibility Cons: its bad reputation hides it true worth
Ok, before I begin, I would like to tell the story of when I updated to the newest version of both Internet Explorer and Netscape Navigator.
Ok...so Internet Explorer tells me it's time to update, and I go through the not-too-difficult...

Pros: free, good web site builder Cons: frequent crushes, I cannot uninstall it !!
When I bought my computer it came with Internet Explorer and I thought that's the best browser in the whole world. Until I used the unix version of Netscape. There was something about it that made me want it so bad on my computer that I installed it...

Pros: Easy to use Cons: none
When I first started surfing the net, I used Internet Explorer. It felt awkward to use, so I switched to Netscape.
Right from the beginning it was easy to use and understand. You can see how fast or slow the web pages are loading, your...

Pros: Better than Navigator 4.7 (in some ways), multi-platform, and its not Microsoft Cons: Buggy, slow, incompatible, bloated, and sometimes it just doesn't work.
Saying Gecko falls short of the mark is a little unfair, since its about the only part of Netscape version 6.x that works well. For those that don't know, Gecko is the codename for the bit of the browser that actually draws the page for you to look at....

Pros: Smart Browsing feature Cons: There are many I'm sure, but they don't bother me.
I am not a Microsoft-hater. I use netscape for one reason -- for one particular feature. I first began using Netscape back at version 2 when I purchased Quicken, which bundled Netscape for use with their online features. I wasn't even on the internet,...

Pros: Not as vulnerable to viruses as IE Cons: Just about everything else !
As a web designer, Netscape Navigator is my worst nightmare! I can knock out a page for Internet Explorer 5.0 and have it working in half an hour. Then, I spend the next six hours fixing things so it will sort of, kind of work in Netscape. Even then,...

Pros: Not IE Cons: Its Netscape!
This seems to be an ongoing debate out there. Which is better, Netscape vs. Internet Explorer? Well, I would have to go with Netscape. I work in an office building, and the users of Internet Explorer always seem to have trouble with webpages that...

Pros: Java Cons: Crashing
I generally like Netscape, when using a browser, but lately the browser has been crashing. I currently have Communicator 4.7, and whenever I run more than one window the program crashes and I lose all the data I had up. It's really annoying and I can't...

Pros: Bookmarks Cons: Buggy and Bloated
Netscape Communicator 4.72 is one of several browsers installed on my home and work computers. I very seldom use Netscape anymore because it has become bloated and buggy. Netscape does still have its uses; however, in my opinion, it is no longer the...
