Pros: you can check as long as you have internet connection Cons: same as email with extra steps
Summary: The strangest part about quickdot is that it works. For some reason people respond better (at least my friends) to this simple program than to email itself! Very strange, and yes it could just be my strange friends but I think that this aspect alone ... read more

Pros: The Group Dots are a quick alternative to long fwded emails. Cons: Cost, sometimes has errors where you have to retype your entry.
Summary: When I went away to college, Quickdot was the main source of communication among my group of friends from home. The group dot was something we all looked forward to, because you can open up the web page at 1 am and find a quick note from a friend, just ... read more

Pros: Used to be innovative and fun! Cons: Too big for their boots
Summary: Quickdot, one of the many companies that started to turn instant internet messaging into a phenomenon, used to stand out from the pack. It used to be fast, funky and fun to use, waiting for you friend to sign up so you could start 'dotting'. ... read more

Pros: It builds up your friendships within a group! Cons: it's NOT FREE!
Summary: HI Everyone!
First of all; the reason I'm here is because Quickdot is not going to be free any longer, and I was searching for an alternative on the internet. Also I read pretty much all the opinions and I was surprised there were so many ... read more

Pros: err..reminders list? Cons: hassle, boring, not a lot of people join
Summary: I joined quickdot.com over a year ago, and I finally logged in again a few weeks ago because they sent me an e-mail about some updates they were having. Quickdot.com is a service that claims that it is easier and faster than e-mail. I tried it for a ... read more

Pros: Fast and easy alternative to e-mail Cons: Nothing major
Summary: I was introduced to Quickdot about a year ago, and I'll admit, my first impression was not a good one. It just seemed so...pointless. With e-mail and Instant Messenger, who needed something like Quickdot...right? Well, I'll be the first to admit that ... read more

Pros: it's free Cons: it's not quick, in fact it's down right slow
Summary: I discovered quickdot when I was invited by my friend to try this new and exciting thing. So I hurried over to the site, set up an account and invited a bunch of my friends because if they aren't registered, it doesn't work.
So, they ... read more

Pros: if you like writing your friends lots of little notes, this is the program for you Cons: takes longer than email, you get lots of meaningless dots
Summary: Quickdot is a little messenger program that is similar to email. The only real differences are: no spam, no forwards, and you get to write to all of your friends while on one page. (There is a separate box for each friend. There are also other groups, ... read more

Pros: Easy to use Cons: Not as quick as email
Summary: I've been using Quickdot for at few months right now, but I really don't believe it's quicker and faster than email. With email you can attach things, use cool fonts, colors, etc. You just type and send! With Quickdot you don't have those features, ... read more

Pros: Great way to do short messages Cons: The colors are boring
Summary: I have been a Quickdot Member for 3 months now and I do enjoy the service. It is like putting a sticky note on someone computer without being seen. I find it to be less formal than email and not as intrusive as IM.
This is a great way to ... read more

Pros: Messages? Cons: It's sooo last millenium.
Summary: I don't recommend Quickdot to anyone who has any type of messaging program (which rules out probably the entire population of net users). It's only useful to first timers who don't know how to download and want to have a messaging system.
It ... read more

Pros: slightly quicker than email Cons: Can't tell when your friends are on, annoying little "You've been dotted" messages, same as anything else out there
Summary: I'll admit it. I am a member of Quickdot. I have been using Quickdot to talk to my friends whom I would usually be communicating with over email. Yet, despite all of this, I fail to see the actual point of Quickdot.
Quickdot claims ... read more

Pros: There aren't any, trust me. Cons: It's pointless.
Summary: A couple months ago a friend of mine sent me an invitation to join a thing called Quickdot. So, I setup an account and...forgot it even existed. That is, until just recently when my friend decided to breathe some life into this thing, and "dot ... read more

Pros: Good Concept Cons: Too much work to retrieve small messages
Summary: QuickDot is possibly the most pointless program I have run across on the Internet. The concept is a good one, but the practicality of this program completely escapes me.
The concept is simple - set up an account similar to an email account and ... read more
