I signed up for Yahoo Mail Plus and paid the fee to try and reduce the amount of span I have been getting. After a few days, it was obvious that it did not reduce it AT ALL. I called to get my money back and was told it was not possible. DO not expect this service to help you with spam!

Yahoo! has alot of security flaws, and they refuse to fix them. Their so-called "upgrade" did little more than change the look of the site and expand storage limitations.

They will not allow anyone to block domains--only address, even though it clearly states below the "add block" option Enter email address (or domain) to block:. They say we have the option of blocking whole spam providing domains, but we're not allowed. I smell a false claims suit.

The amount of spam I receive every day is staggering. And marking messages as spam does little to protect against future spam. Blocking does little, if any, good to prevent my inbox from becoming flooded with spam. I thought Yahoo! cared about our privacy.

I have to refresh my browser at least 5 times before I can log in, and most of the time it asks me to reinsert my password. Sometimes it takes up to 30 seconds to load, if it loads at all. I'd like to know what happened after their "upgrade" to make email access so much more time consuming. Prior to this year, I had no serious problems with Yahoo! at all.

They want everybody to go plus, promoting on any Yahoo! site they want. I don't see a reason for it. I never did go plus, and why should I? I am getting great service, 1 Gigabyte of storage (which is GREAT for me). It is very easy to use, and most of my addresses on my list are also using Yahoo! I think that if you want a great e-mail service, go Yahoo, or Google. (I use Yahoo, Google, and Hotmail, and I personally think that Gmail and Yahoo are the best, in that order, but not by a wide margin)

At least once a day I can't get to my yahoo email for whatever reason. It's so frustrating. It can also be quite slow. I haven't tried the other large email servers so I don't know if this is typical or not but I would replace my account if I knew the reliability was going to be better.

Pros: Free, easy to use, loads fast, pop access, mail forwarding, allows attachments, address book.
Cons: Yahoo won't answer e-mails and offers little, if any, technical support.

I have been using Yahoo Mail for several years now and generally I have been very pleased.

My gripe, however, is that they offer no tech support what-so-ever. I have written to Yahoo several times to request assistance and they have never replied.

The latest problem is that, all of a sudden, I am no longer able to view thumbnails of photos that I send or receive. This problem started in late May 2006. On 6/4/06 and again on 6/15/06 I wrote to Yahoo requesting help but I never got an answer. On 6/28 I wrote to Yahoo PhotoMail Feedback. I explained the problem and once again asked for their help. It is now 7/7/06 and I still have never received a reply to any of my inquiries.

Although I like using Yahoo Mail, it's obvious that Yahoo doesn't care about or value its customers. So, if you can find another free e-mail service, I would strongly recommend using it instead.
