Pros: Has Voice Chat, Fun and easy to use Cons: has occasional connection problems
I have four different real time programs on my computer and to me this one is the best. Unlike the others, it has voice chat conferencing where you can talk to people by taking turns clicking on a talk button.(sort of like talking on a CB).

Pros: Easy, Quick & Free Cons: not a one!
Yahoo messenger is awesome! My whole family uses this to keep in touch and just chat daily. We use to do it the hard way, like ivisit, powwow, private chat rooms and such. We always had problems getting everyone there and then someone would get knocked...

Pros: It has all the feature you want... Cons: Less people you know have it...
Yahoo Messenger is like the Toyota Corolla of internet messaging programs, it's small but powerful in offering a great deal of features in a tiny package.
When I first installed the program I was weary of it's simplistic design, wondering...

Pros: Many functions Cons: nothing
Yahoo messenger to me is a must have when trying to stay in contact with people who might not have AOL or AIM. Its another alternative that I find very easy to use and a nice way to communicate with others. I have had yahoo messenger since it was known...

Pros: Very nice. Enough said on that subject Cons: Not one that I can think of
Yahoo! Messenger was the first one I ever got, and I rate it by far the best. With the pop-ups of "who's online", you're rarely left constantly checking the main board. And I love using the voice feature.
Aol is nice, but it has no pop-ups to tell...

Pros: Ease of use, many options, portability (buddy list online) Cons: Cannot change names of your buddies
I use several pagers on the internet, but this is without a doubt the easiest and lightest on disk space that I have. It is convenient to keep friends and family in contact when they are far away. I have a ton of friends that are on the Yahoo...

Pros: Useful updates about new email, stocks, etc. Push lives on! Cons: Can be a distraction
Yahoo! Messenger is a great product that helps to integrate a lot of the free services Yahoo provides. It is a small application that you run in the background, and it provides a quick way to tell you when events occur and lets you respond.

Pros: Fast-loading, Yahoo!Mail alerts, typographical faces, Voicechat Cons: Main Program doesn't minimize, not a lot of users
I already have chat programs such as AIM (AOL Instant Messenger), ICQ, and IRC (Internet Relay Chat), so I decided to give Yahoo! Messenger a try. First of all, the download is very small - so far, so good! I read about all the features of Yahoo!...

Pros: Complete message center, very good privacy regulations, offline messages, many emoticons Cons: rather simple interface, Yahoo clients only
It has been almost a year that I decided the battle between the major instant messaging software. Why decide and not use them all? Well, as they are all fighting for market share, they are not compatible to each other and the user is the one to suffer if...

Pros: easy, free, multiuses Cons: others have to have it to use it
I have had Yahoo Messenger for a long time. However, I did not have any "friends" on it. That has changed dramatically! Once I started to use it, I feel in love. I was a devoutee to ICQ and now spend my time using YM.
Why do I...

Pros: Easy to use, nice features, small download Cons: Some downtime occasionally
I have Yahoo Messenger and use it daily. I find it very useful. I also have ICQ, but I like this better. I prefer to think of it as a “lite” version of ICQ. It is a smaller download, has less confusing features and is easier for the general...

Pros: easy to use Cons: status messages aren't fun, many many random users IM you
I guess you could say I like the messenger tools that allow you to chat on the internet. If you look at the desktop of my computer, you'll see that I have both AOL Instant Messenger and Yahoo! Messenger. But I personally don't like Yahoo! Messenger...
