Pros: most features: mail alert, file transfer, voice chat, messages Cons: file transfer is not as efficient as it could be.
I never thought that I would find a message-sending tool that I would like as much as ICQ. Until I downloaded my Yahoo! Messenger for the first time, which was about 5 or 6 months ago.
The original messenger, called a pager at the time, was...

Pros: It remembers you wherever you go, centralized service, easy to set up. Cons: Serious reliability issues, chat windows clutter the screen.
I've been using Yahoo! Messenger for some time now. I admit, I'm of mixed opinions on the subject, so I'll try to clarify things.
You can get Yahoo! Messenger from the Yahoo website, but you probably already guessed that. It's an extension...
