Pros: Free Easy To Use Features Cons: Not Every Area Has A Local Number Yet

Pros: Great phone service.
Really fast for faxes, emails and voicemails.
Tons of features, easy.
Cons: Web site access to emails can sometimes be too slow.
Summary: I recently decided to give Onebox another chance. I was a user in back in 2000 when it was free, and enjoyed the service a great deal. When it was purchased in 2001 by Call Sciences, it changed to a paid-only service, and the service went down hill, and ... read more

Pros: It was a good concept, unfortunately they don't get the concept of "service". Cons: First I was scammed, then I was ignored. Not appropriate behavior for an Internet "service".
Summary: When Onebox went over to pay service, they accidentally charged me twice. After trying unsuccessfully to contact them by e-mail, fax and phone for a month, I asked my VISA company to straighten out the matter for me, which they did, and the money was ... read more

Pros: unified messenging Cons: Very bad customer service, no longer free, new software versions implemented without much notice
Summary: Unified Messenging
A couple years ago, I found out about Onebox through the Ziff-Davis web site. Onebox seemed like a dream come true - a web-based email service that also received voice mail and in-bound faxes. With a free toll-free number, ... read more

Pros: Nothing better than Yahoo Cons: New interface and options are terrible. Completely inferior to the previous version
Summary: I don't know who was smoking what over at Onebox, but following their switch to a paid service, they completely changed the interface and options. The interface is supposed to rival Yahoo with interactivity, and fails miserably. The options have been ... read more

Pros: Not yet shown to cause cancer. Cons: Terribly implemented "upgrade"
Summary: I've been using Onebox for well over a year-- I was one of the early "free" users, and decided to hang on when they went to paid model.
I did this out of loyalty for getting something free all those months and, I'll admit, also because of the ... read more

Pros: The best all in one service for Macintosh users. Cons: Extension number has to be punched in for people sending faxes to you.
Summary: Where do I begin? I've looked at other services like efax, and J2 and One Box seems to be the most efficient user-friendly services there is.

Pros: Vital fax and voicemail services in one number. Cons: No longer offering accounts without a 4-digit extension; no phone support.
