Pros: Simple program. Allows anyone to create business like publications
Cons: Not as many tools or options as other page layout programs

  • Isn't this false advertising?

    Apr 26 '02
Pros: Can find no redeeming grace for this product for anything other than amateur use!
Cons: It's a total waste of time to use Publisher to create a web site!

Summary: After many hours of working on a web site with Publisher, I finally - after multiple attempts - got it to upload to the web. Unfortunately, the hyperlinks created automatically in the nav bars by Publisher are so screwed up, my site is useless. This is ... read more

  • A few glitches, but works well

    Aug 10 '01
Pros: Anyone can use it and look like they've spent hours on something that took minutes.
Cons: Files saved take up a huge amount of space on your hard drive.

Summary: When I first stared making publications for mailings, and advertisements, I had no idea how to start. We bought Publisher and I used some of the templates. Now, when I open it up, man I just fly thru. It took me less than a week to conquer my fear of ... read more

  • Adequate Program, But You Can Do Better

    Aug 04 '01
Pros: Easy to use, lots of wizards, Good integration with MS Office
Cons: Doesn't make the best web pages, tricky printing, pricey in comparison

Summary: I first started using this software when Publisher 97 came out. The 2000 release is an improvement, but for what it does, I think you can do better. You don't have to be a power user to benefit from this software, but if you are a Microsoft Word power ... read more

  • Thank you PUBLISHER 2000 !

    Jul 20 '01
Pros: PUBLISHER 2000 can give you great and successful web sites.
Cons: PUBLISHER 2000 is not meant to replace lack of taste or brains.

Summary: You read right. PUBLISHER 2000 can do a lot more than just what the wizards offer you to do. Wizards are excellent; but still, they are meant to give you an idea on how much you can achieve and how to achieve it. A heck of a good ... read more

    Apr 10 '01
    Pros: Powerful and complete
    Cons: none

Summary: I am a graphic designer for a business printer. This isn’t Kinkos. We print for your casinos and your hospitals, and we’re the source of some of that slick, glossy, colorful junk mail you receive. I freelanced for years and earned many, many thousands of ... read more

    Mar 30 '01
    Pros: Easy, User Friendly
Cons: Expensive if Buying Alone or For Home Use

Pros: CYMK formatted images can be used
Cons: Knowledge of the shortcut keys is essential
