Pros: Almost never down, reasonable price, able to connect from almost anywhere Cons: No fast access yet in my area but its coming
I've used Mindspring's service for over 3 years now and can not remember the last time I couldn't get online. Of course the service could be slightly different in other parts of the country but it works great in the Orlando area. I use the Internet to...

Pros: Higher speed access than most ISPs Cons: You have to sign a two month service contract to get the camera
I joined Mindspring to get away from Aol-constant busy signals and not fast enough connecting speeds. I totally love MindSpring. They sent me a package in the mail three days after I signed up with everything I needed. They sent me a free digital camera...

Pros: WONDERFUL TECH SUPPORT! Fast Connections! I love the Blink Magazine! Cons: I haven't encountered one yet!!
In my opinion, for a national service.. This is THE one and ONLY true ISP. AOL cannot match the customer support. And Mindspring is concerned about the care and support of its memebers.
Having recently merged w/ Earthlink (ELNK) it has...

Pros: Great availability, good support. Cons: Sometimes hard to connect.
I've used several dial-up ISPs over the years. My family has used Mindspring for about a year or so, and it's been pretty good.
We never recieved busy signals.
We never got "bumped off" the server.
We never had any problems...

Pros: Good Cust. Service, good speed, avg. cost Cons: Email response time slow
There are so many ISPs out there, and the average service is not so bad, but there is an aspect of an ISP that can greatly differ from one to another. That is technical assistance. Often when you call a company for software or hardware assistance they...

Pros: Fast, Dependable, Reasonable Price Cons: None
My first ISP was Mindspring. Sadly I had to give it up when I moved to the middle Tennessee area, as it was not available as a local call. I have been forced to put up with busy signals, servers that were not answering, customer service that has...

Pros: Nationwide Cons: Erratic service, frequent email outages in CT, latency (slow response) to WWW browsing, authentication failures --- all on a daily/weekly basis!
Email outage, slow web browsing response (latency), authentication failures (doesn't recognize your password when logging on). Those are the things that I've grown to really hate about Mindspring.
I was a Netcom user and have since (by...

Pros: Less than $20 a month Cons: Busy lines - can take 30 minutes or longer to connect!
I used to like Netcom, before they merged with Mindspring. Let me tell you why.........
When they were just Netcom, I never had a busy signal with them, never. While all my friends were dialing and redialing there isps trying to get on the...

Pros: Very fast! Cons: Costs money. LOL but doesn't everything?
I would like to start off by saying that I have tried many ISP's in the last year. Everything from free, to free trial, to paying monthly. Mindspring is the best one yet. It really is a no brainer. I found it very easy to use.
The set up was very...

Pros: Great customer service and connections Cons: none
When I left AOL and joined Mindspring in '96, I had no idea what I was getting myself into. I have only positive things to say about Mindspring. Easy set-up, wonderful customer service, very rare busy signals, etc, etc, etc.
I feel...

Pros: service Cons: worried they may increase price and become less reliable after merger with earthlink
Being a relative newcomer to the Internet, I found many things confusing. I employed Mindspring to be my ISP and have found them to be great! When I have called them with stupid questions, they still treat me with courtesy, are thoughtful and very...

Pros: fast connect time and reliable, unfailing connection, will not disconnect Cons: $19.95 (but well worth it, so not really a con)
I have used the Mindspring Internet Software 4.0 for almost one year now. Before that, I had an ISP from my local area which constantly disconnected. The Mindspring software is very user friendly and extremely easy to navigate through to what your...

Pros: ease of use, Tech and Sales Suport, connectability Cons: wait time for tech service during peak hours
I wish to put in a few good words for Mindspring. I currently have three ISP's, the other two are lesser known, less expensive or free. I keep more than one just in case, but due to the exemplary service by Mindspring I haven't found it necessary to...

Pros: They have a dial up number in my area. Cons: They overcharge me every month.
When I received a computer as a gift four years ago, I started checking out ISP's. I found out that there were only two ISP's that provided internet access in my area and had local dial up numbers. One was the local phone company whose service is...
