Pros: Sometimes it works Cons: Slow response time. Then when you get thru, they never know anything.
We signed up under a local ISP back in Nov '99 when we first got our computer. At the time, they were the only local ISP (we live in the boondocks) that we knew of at the time. Since we weren't happy with them, we were looking for a change. My husband...

Pros: Haven't found any Cons: Customer Service, Connections are slow
I have had the same internet provider for over two years. I did not have one complaint with the service that they provided me. I was happy with the price and customer service.
Well about two months ago, my provider changed to OneMain.com....

Pros: They claim the rates will not change from the former ISP. Cons: The connection time is Slow.
Among the ISP's that provide a local connection number in my telephone company service area is OneMain. They identify themselves as the "Hometown Internet Service" because the technical support personnel supposedly live and work in the area.

Pros: unknown at this time Cons: horrible customer support
My internet service provider just recently switched to OneMain.com and I am not at all impressed with it. I think that their customer service is absolutely horrible.
Ever since the changeover I have been having various problems so I sent off...

Pros: Joe Namath, Tiger Woods, Pete Sampras Cons: they just plain don't care...as a matter of fact, they suck
Why can't I find an Internet Service Provider that delivers what they promise, I think to myself as I deal with the constant busy signals and sudden disconnects??
My first experience with ISPs was with AOL...and like most internet newbies I...

Pros: Inexpensive; No "use" charges; Good connection speeds. Cons: Dial-up ISPs all have the same problems.
Dial-up internet access can be a downright pain in the butt, am I right? First, I don't care what company you sign-up with, you WILL have dial up problems. Second, if you want to be able to use the internet without more banner ads from "free"...

Pros: Hmmmmm... Cons: Unreliable, slow, frustrating.
When I first signed up with an ISP, there was only one available in this area. I didn't realized that TheGrid was different from any other, because I had nothing for comparison. I didn't know how well-off I was!
We still only have one...

Pros: Good Connection Speed Cons: Hanging Connections, Occasional Busy Signals
Like the many others that have written opinions on Onemain.com I have also encountered several of the problems that they have had.
I often get busy signals at night but it has seemed to get better in the last week or so. I also have...

Pros: Easy, Good connectivity Cons: Poor Usenet feeds, poor email reliability, poor service, over priced
Teleport, a long time Portland Oregon internet service provider, had earned a reputation in Portland as a stable, reliable, service oriented ISP. Unfortunately, as often happens, a larger corporation, in this case OneMain.Com, consumed this small ISP....

Pros: None Cons: Website lacks the information most of us want to know (PRICE)
After seeing someone else's review on this product I was compelled to see whether or not it was a free internet ISP, or a Pay for access (typical) ISP. From the other Epinion member's writing - slow connections, poor customer service, and the like I...

Pros: Many dialup locations ? Cons: Everything else
As most of you know, OneMain.com bought out United States Internet (USIT) a year or so ago. I signed up with USIT as my ISP back over 5 years ago. There were only 2 local ISPs in my rural town back then, and USIT was far superior, as I had accounts...

Pros: Haven't found a thing! Cons: Poor customer service, terrible connection
This is going into the second day of service with OneMain.com as service provider for this area. Like so many others, my smaller ISP was originally Cococo.net which was bought by US Internet and now OneMain.com.
The service I had with...

Pros: Amazingly good customer service, fast and never overcrowded Cons: None
Many of you will not recognize the name onemain.com, but a lot of you surely use one of their subsidiaries as your ISP. Onemain.com is a company that purchased a number of smaller ISP's that are not in "huge" markets and rolled them up into...

Pros: see review
Cons: see review
Here's my OneMain experience. OneMain consists of many small ISPs recently conglomerated into one, so others may have had very different experiences.
I saw their ad a couple of months ago on TV, and being sick of my free ISP, I decided to...

Pros: none Cons: poor connection and customer service
Onemain.com is one of the most pathetic ISPs ever in terms of the internet connection they offer, and customer service. I get frequent busy signals at busy times of day, and when I do not receive a busy signal my connection speeds can be in the teens,...
