Pros: Access numbers in all 50 states, even in smaller towns, No special software, monthly payment Cons: Toll call to tech support, only accepts VISA, MC, and debit card
I have been offering the SurfBest service to others for over 2 years now, but still had time left on an an existing ISP account, so continued to use it rather than lose it. When that account ran out of time, and the ISP wanted to charge me 19.95/mo (it...
Pros: Dirt cheap, great support, fast, no lost connections. Cons: None
Want to save a minimum of 10 bucks a month on unlimited access over a certain junk dial-up ISP,(if you're wondering who this junk ISP could possibly be, here is a clue .. its not a foriegn ISP its located in United States of ...) that won't take over...
I have used my share of low cost providers and even some free providers. This one is one of the best I have tried. Their service is fast for dialup and their prices cant be beat. I would have to recommend this company to anyone looking for low cost...
Pros: None. Cons: Lost money to a dishonest company with a poor product
I would like to know who is writing these reviews. They must be by people working for the company or maybe the president himself. My experience was horrible. I was scammed out of significant amounts of money from Surfbest. After a three week trial ...
Pros: Cheap Cons: Toll call to technical support. Tech support is not 24/7. Misleading "unlimited hours" claim.
Surfbest is a small ISP run out of Eliot, ME. It does not live up to it's claims of unlimited service for $12.50 per month. After speaking with technical support, it was clear that there are 6+ providers, and the vast majority are limited to 150 or 200...
Pros: Low price, no ad banner, no disconnection from service, no extra crap on your computer Cons: Email tech support (when your computer is down), long distance phone support
Unlike AOL or Earthlink, I have never been disconnected from service or denied access due to the system being busy or down. The price was just my speed and the only reason I gave it up is because I got a cable modem. I strongly recommend surfbest. I was never harrassed into buying anything and if ever I needed help, I could get it (via email on another computer). For intermediate level computer literacy, I say go to Surfbest!
They aren't paying the surfbest affiliates. by pitstopp ,Jan 01 '07
Pros: Try copper.net Cons: Poor customer service. You always get a recording.
They aren't paying the affiliates. I've been a surfbest affiliate for about 3 years and for the past year I have tried to get paid on several occasions. I've talked to David Allen(president@surfbest.net), the President of Surfbest(Surfgreat, Surfcheap) and he told me he had other, "more pressing things he had to deal with first". I wonder why they have so many names, all of a sudden.? Anyway, that was a few ago and still no check. Just tried to call him and his voice mailbox is full... Hmmmmm... surprise surprise. I think that this company might be going out of business. Wouldn't try them.
The customer service is terrible. You will get a voice mail and they take a day or two to get back to you. Just called copper.net and got a tech support person right away. I am not an affiliate with copper.net but i will look into it or find another company that has good dialup service and good tech support.
