Pros: Great bang for the buck! Feels very sturdy. Fantastic screen/graphics. Great features.
Cons: Very heavy. Doesn't fit in most briefcases. Keyboard layout is disconcerting.
The Bottom Line: Would recommend to anyone except very frequent travelers.

I've had my Satellite 2435 for about 6 weeks now and I love it. It is very fast and very powerful. It is, however difficult to lug around. For someone who will be using it mostly at their desk with an external keyboard/mouse, it is fantastic! The screen is one of the best I've seen and everyone who sees it is impressed. The extra features/ports (3-USB 2.0's, Smart Digital, IR, Firewire, scrolling touchpad, physical volume control, etc.) are great. I recommend getting the aftermarket internal WiFi module. The two times I've called Toshiba tech support, I had to wait for less than 5 minutes -- a true rarity these days.
