The Bottom Line: Can't think of a more convenient, easier to program gamepad than Power Ramp Mite. You can't get more than 4 buttons out of any other gamepad without headaches.

| joestoust's Full Review: Act Labs Power Ramp Mite |
Unlike all the software keystroke emulators on the market, Power Ramp MITE is a hardware keystroke emulator. What this means is that you don't need any software or drivers, making this the easiest game pad to install and program. You plug it into your computers PS/2 keyboard port, then plug your keyboard into the fork in the cable. There are two included adapters for large and small PS/2 plugs.
Now you're ready to play some games. Lets say that A, B, X, Y are keys that correspond to game play. Here is how you program them.
1. Press setup.
2. Press and hold your designated game pad button.
3. Press X, Y, or Z on the keyboard and release.
4. Release game pad button.
Repeat this process for each key. When finished, press the setup button and the red LED will go out. The process is so easy that during game play you'll find yourself programming new moves without pressing pause.
You're not limited to one key per button, in fact you can program 6 keystrokes separately or in combination. That comes in handy for special moves. The 4 blue buttons can hold up to 10 keystrokes.
You have 4 macro slots that can be each programmed separately, including a factory default slot. To clear one of your macro slots to default, just press setup, then hold down Start then Select until the setup LED blinks twice. The Start and Select buttons are labeled as P and ESC because all default buttons are labeled with their default keystroke.
Remember, this is a hardware keystroke emulator, so you can take it with you to any computer and plug it in and start playing. All your macros are saved in the game pad. This is not so much a game pad as it is a tiny game-pad-shaped 16 button programmable keyboard.
If you are even remotely into emulation, or even gaming in general, this game pad is essential. Any other game pad will have you installing bloated drivers and clicking away for hours just so you can attempt to play such obscure games that have no support for joysticks.
How did Act Labs fall through the cracks like this with such innovative controllers?
