Pros: Good film quality, easy to use
Cons: Slow serial connection, low durability of the camcorder, expensive reperation costs
The Bottom Line: Never buy a Sony DCR-TRV320 Digital-8 Camcorder, there are better ones on the marked. SONY should think on reparation charges, I never will buy anything from SONY.

| rluff's Full Review: Sony Handycam DCR-TRV320 Digital-8 Digital Camcord... |
I bought the camcorder in Sep. 2000, used it mostly at home and for one holiday trip. Altogether I filled 7 cassettes during 2.5 years. The quality of the films was OK, the option to save pictures on the memory stick is more or less a joke with a resolution of 460x680.
During my last holiday the camcorder stopped working immediately (Temperature -5°C, in a ski area, no crash, hit or anything else happened to the camcorder) and since that day it is broken. When I switch it on, there is only a click inside but nothing more.
I sent it to SONY Germany for reperation and they told me that I have to pay 872 Euro (950 USD) for the change of the complete main board. 872 Euro, I payed 1100 Euro for the new one! Unacceptable! I offered SONY that I can pay about 200 Euro (230 USD), because I did not use the camcorder so much but they send me back the camcorder without any comment.
That was my worst deal ever to by that camcorder!
