Great phone for average user

If you are an average user like me this is a good phone to have. It will serve all your purposes well, clarity of sound, pretty good battery life, and a nice size. I got mine for free when I signed up for service from Cingular. I am very satisfied overall.
The Nokia 6340i has good sound quality, even with low reception you can still hold a conversation. The overall volume of the phone is kind of low, but it doesn't cause many problems. Like I said, it is good for the average user.
The screen on the phone is a nice size which makes it excellent for scrolling through menus and text messaging. I use mine a lot for text messaging and it does the job very well. I receive baseball and hockey scores, weather, and other alerts on my phone, and also message my friends a lot. The phone has several ringtones and you can receive more using the messaging system (SMS).
The menus are big and easy to navigate, and the phone includes, messages, call log, profiles (for customizing your ring settings), settings, voice (for voice recording and voice activated commands), an organizer (with a calendar, to do list, and a wallet feature), a calculator, games (you can get more using SMS), infrared (for playing games against another phone or sending information), and a service tab.
The phone book is easy to use and I like the fact that you can put multiple numbers under each contact, so you don't have to do different entries for a persons home, cell, or pager. Just select the person you need and choose which number you want to call.
The battery life is pretty good, mine usually lasts 6 days between charging, but sometimes its less depending on the amount of use. This phone does everything I need it to and will do what most average users need. Try it out, its free with service!
