My practice has owned three projectors over the past couple of years and all of us have served on faculty and used University projectors (some costing 50k+). This $1100 projector is the best value out there bar none. It generates 1500 lumens, has a clear crisp picture, has an optical 1.2 zoom, a good remote, and loads of connectivity. Its brighter and as crisp as the $2500 Sony we own and actually works with our laptops and software which is more than we can say for the Viewsonic that we got rid of as quickly as possible. Is it as good as the $10,000 unit one of us owns as a home theatre? No. But is that picture $8900 better (or even $2000 better)? No again!

Good clear crisp picture, super 3 year warranty, good remote, nice case, good connectivity, and it cost us about 80cents per lumen when most projectors run $1.60 to $2.25 per lumen - it's a steal!
