Cast Iron Equals Non Stick

Do not put in dishwasher and rub with oil after cleaning, it will be ready to go again. There is nothing like fried chicken cooked in a Cast Iron Skillet.

my mom used cast iron all my life. i have inherited her collection of about 10, all made by the old Griswald co. I love them and it is all I cook on. great to see folks taking an interest again.

Thank you so much. I never knew this about cast iron. The next time I find some cast iron at a garage sale I will give it a try. I remember my Mom using it when I was little.

I thought that the iron from the pan transfered to your food, thus making it unhealthy to use. Am I wrong?? I don't know much about it. I am going to have to research it out, because now I am curious.

Thank you for the great opinion! :) Michelle
