Pros: GREAT PHOTO QUALITY!!! six color inks, ALL SOFTWARE WORKS ON MAC OS X
Cons: can't change seperate ink tanks, ink goes quick
The Bottom Line: This printer is great if you are going to need larger prints than 8 X 10. And once again the photo-quality is breathe-taking

I have had the Epson 1280 for about two weeks now. I can’t believe the quality that comes out of this printer!! The prints that I have made (not many) have turned out absoulutely gorgeous. This printer can print pictures that are 13” wide and as long as 44” long!! I don’t think I will ever print anything that big, but it is nice to know that I could if I wanted to. I have printed one 13x19 and it is great looking. It uses six color printing, but unlike most printers in this range, you can’t change the separate colors. But they run out at about the same rate so it is no big deal to me. Also they run out extremely fast! Well, technically I haven’t ran out of ink yet, but there is this little program that tells you how much ink is left in the tanks (IT EVEN WORKS ON MAC OS X!!!!!!!!!!) And it lowers at an alarming rate for me. But the salesperson said that the first time that the printer is used it drains the ink pretty quick (but you know how salespeople are). But other than that can’t really tell you much because I haven’t had it very long. Just wanted to tell you my initial reactions to this cool printer!
