Pros:Good Performance, Great Reliability Excellent Customer service
Cons:none
The Bottom Line: Now a days with so many great computers, companies should be rated highly on Customer Service.

I bought my Micron Computer about 4 years ago, a PII300mhz, Intel LX agp chipset, 4mb diamond viper video, 6gig hard drive, and 64mb ram. I did not start upgrading until 6 months ago, so the performance was plenty for my purpose.

Performance.
Micron has a long history of producing very well performing computers, always among the top 3. My PII 300mhz demonstrated just that. However, the speed tests you see in the magazines are not always as clean cut as they proclaim to be. Most people will not notice differences in speed between computer companies (dell, micron, gateway) If you have a similarly configured system, then the speed will be too similar to differentiate. The only thing you want to watch for is which companies use quality parts and which use cheap parts.

My Micron used quality parts. It wears a Micron badge outside, but on the inside, there are separate components from Diamond, Intel, and Sony.

Customer service.
Micron provides some of the best customer service. At one time, i thought my motherboard died on me, I talked to micron on the phone and in 2 days i had a new motherboard at my doorstep. The only catch was, i had to send the old motherboard back in a prepaid shipping box. Thats as easy as it can get. let me remind you that my micron was not in warranty at this period. so they took the extra step.

Overall Thoughts
yes there are many good computer companies out there. I would highly suggest looking at Micron. Their CustomerService will make sure you don't regret it.
