Background Bandai is a toy manufacturer based all over the world. Their headquarters is in Tokyo. Bandai is known for making interactive toys and videogames and they have now moved on to also making action figures. The company is also responsible for making the worlds best yo-yo’s – the Yomega. They are also the ones who invented the first virtual pet, Tamagotchi. Facts Bandai is the worlds third largest toy Manufacturer in the world. They are originally from Japan and now have over 50 subsidiaries in over 18 countries. All U.S. operations are headquartered in a large, ultra-modern facility in Cypress, Calif. Products They make everything from action figures to movies, so to start with th emost popular, they make the Power Rangers action figures line. They are also the exclusive mass-market distributor for the popular Yomega yo-yos. In addition, Bandai produced Tamagotchi, the original "virtual-pet,". They first came to the US in the mid 1970s when they were the first few licensees for Nintendo and they manufactured many of the first generation hand held games. Bandai America is the master toy licensee for a range of action figure lines, including Xyber 9, Digimon and Big Guy and Rusty. Bandai also produces Dinozaurs transforming action figures, the Yomega Extreme dX miniature skateboards and Funky Music Mixers. Since most of the Action Figures that they manufacture are based on Cartoons they are fairly realistic toys.
