Pros:Great Classic Style of Creative a Wonderfully satable Card! Cons:I don't own Stock in Creative Labs. The Bottom Line: Affordable easy to use sounds great ... what else could you want in a Sound Card?
I have hear a ton of Cards in the past that profess to be something special. The ironic thing is that My Good OLd Sound Blaster PCI that I have had for about 7 years still Smokes Anything else I have ever heard. Everyone runs out to get the Big Models and the IRQ Hogs. I find that Entertaining. a single IRQ is used and it works great with Linux, Windows ( ANY VERSION ), MSDOS, FreeBSD, BEOS, And Solaris. AND I HAVE ONLY HAD TO INSTALL THE DRIVER FILES FOR DOS! All other operating systems have always autodetected it and installed the drvers for me. It's got a great sound and plays MP1 2 3 wavs Midis DVDs and CD's just as good and ussually Better than any other media there is.
I would Put this sound card up against anything made.
