I am the proud father of a 3-month old girl. She is our fifth. We believe carrying a baby is important for her development so with the other children we used a Gerry front carrier. Unfortunately, I always got a backache and the straps cut into my shoulders as the children got older. For this child we got a Didymos sling from www.childrensneeds.com. I wish I had gotten one years ago. Beate, who runs this family business, (I like to support small family businesses--they made America great) is very knowledgeable and she gave us great advice. We got the right length sling in the color we wanted. The service was quick and professional.
What a difference this sling makes. It is so much more comfortable for the baby and us. The weight is distributed better and it is much easier to adjust. In addition, the child can be carried in so many different positions. We quickly found her favorite. I highly recommend the Didymos sling, it is worth every penny. It is such good quality that my grandchildren will still be using it. When I am wearing this sling parents often ask me if the baby is comfortable. I always tell them that she would not be laughing or sleeping so well if she wasn’t.
