Not subconscious at all. I think was completely honest in my review. It wasn't a horrible album, it's just that there is such a lack of diversity and creativity that the album is rendered useless.
No need to try to call me "bitter" because honestly I think this album sucks.
THanks for stopping by.
Shelly.

The irony will certainly not escape readers of this review that there is a track entitled "Bitter" on 'Rise.' Must have struck a subconscious chord with Lambchops...get some help.

Yeah, I gave these guys a listen as was equally unimpressed. It's not bad stuff, just not memorable.
One thing that freaked me out during this review, however: "Zooropas many lovely tracks from U2"
Did you just use the words "lovely" and "Zooropa" in the same sentence? Egad, woman! Zooropa was a horrid, horrid (and fortunately temporary) detour in U2's career. I can't think of a single redeeming quality to that album. In fact, I'd go so far as to say that I think it is the worst album by a good band in the past 15 years. I mean, Lemon? Numb? Gimmick songs at best...and all of the synth layering, overdubs, and drum machines? The soul is sucked right out of the album by all of that garbage. Ick. "Pop" didn't fare much better (e.g., "Discoteque"), but at least gravitated back towards something digestable (e.g., "Staring at the Sun"). Fortunately, the band decided to pick up their instruments and play again on "All That You Can't Leave Behind" instead of relying on a bunch of crappy, cheap-sounding studio effects like the previous two albums. Early previews of the new album due out soon sound positive as well.
Man, I used the comment section to go off on a rant again...damn, I hate it when I do that. Sorry...it's just that Zooropa is a total hot button for me. I really, really cannot stand that fetid pile of goose sh*t.
So, uh, nice review. On the money. Sorry I freaked out about the U2 comment. Geez.

Rise? (Reply to this comment)

Never heard of them, don't know anyone who has, and doesn't sound like I want to either! Must be one of those mushy rock groups who can find success on middle-of-the-road American radio stations because they'd get found out in Britain ( see also: The Corrs ). Shame George Harrison would put his name to it.
