For refined SUVs, the XC90 certainly handled much better than the ESV. Unless you need to tow some serious weight, I would recommend the XC90 over this lethargic ox.
Sales figures on the Escalade have been going down, possibly because of increasing competition (Lexus, Volvo, Etc.) and/or poor resale and reliability. Who knows, but theyre not as popular as they were.
Yes, Escalades seem popular among rap stars, but then again, large Cadillacs have always been. It would not surprise me if its because of a little product placement action.

I did not feel that the interior was bland, but I am hoping that they upgrade some features inside in the next model year. I like the feel of the interior and by the sales figures a lot of people feel the same way. It couldnt be targeted to seniors fully because it is to expensive (which you can tell by all the musicians driving them). Over all I think that this is an excellent SUV that doesnt drive like one

Maybe youre right, I guess there are some people, like you, who dont want trucks to feel like trucks. Maybe you should stick to luxury cars. The interior is a matter of opinion, but I found it dated and bland, targeted to the senior crowd I guess. Many people feel the opposite to me? Or do you mean just you?

It seems to me that you are a small toyota truck driver that likes the rugged feel. I have test drove the Escalade ESV and I have found know faults in the designs as far as squeaks go. I found the feel of the interior to be excellent. It doesnt have an 80's feel to it at all. If you like the rugged feel so much, do me a favor and stick to your toyotas. Many people feel the total opposite that you do!!!
