Over the past few years I’ve really fallen in love with men’s boxer briefs, not the baggy boxer shorts that get all bunched up under your clothing but the nice tight cotton ones that feel like liquid latex. These aren’t just comfortable to wear but they are a great way to go from the gym to the store to the mall and back again without having to change your clothes five times in the process. I started wearing men’s boxer briefs when I spotted a pair of them at the Marshall’s – they were hanging on the rack and priced at $3.00 since they were removed from the box. I decide to pick them up and try them out and fell in love with the overall feel, comfort and way they held up to a lot of use and washing. When I started to get bored with the usual gray and black designs I turned to the Internet and landed at WebUndies. Since then I’ve been a faithful customer to not only their [albeit small] selection of boxer briefs but also their boxer shorts, women’s bikini underwear and very cool kids section.
The site is 100% safe for kids to browse since there aren’t any offensive designs or slogans used on the products. Now, that’s not to say that some of them couldn’t be misconstrued and taken with a little tongue in cheek humor – but I have no problem with my boys going to the site to see what’s new, recent additions to the kids section and things to come. One great thing about the site is that there are no pop ups to deal with, some sites give you a few when you hit the main page or for advertised specials but that’s something you won’t have to deal with here. One thing I do suggest is that you sign up for the newsletter – you’ll get advanced notices of sale items, listings of new items and the chance to win a $50.00 shopping spree at the site. All that and it’s spam free.
Navigation
If only all online stores were this easy to use, internet shopping would be a complete breeze. Once you select a section to browse from the left hand side box the other areas of the section will be listed – this eliminates having to use the back button on your browser. You can create a wishlist to keep track of your favorites or access someone else’s wishlist using their email address. All of the boxers, lounge pants, bikini underwear and other items at the site are shown with a full color photo that can be enlarged to show detail, sizes available and the suggested retail price and the WebUndies price. I’ve yet to get an error page when browsing the site and every single transaction has been error free. If you are looking for fun boxer shorts, colorful characters and a product that will last – this is one of the best places to start looking.
Selection
Whether you are looking for something for your best friends, father, sister or that special someone in your like, chances are you’ll be able to find at least a few suitable selections at the site. The sections are broken up into men’s, women’s, children’s, sale, closeout deals, newest arrivals and the Top Ten list. The men’s section has the most number of products so if you are looking for something for a female friend and can’t find anything in the other sections, be sure to look here. Just because it is in the men’s section doesn’t mean that the chicks can’t share the wealth. You will find everything from romantic to comical, cartoon characters to comic book heroes and the traditional prints and solids. They are always updating the site so if you don’t happen to see anything that catches your eye, try back in about a week and look at the ‘new arrivals’ section first to see what’s been added.
Men’s
The men’s section is the largest with the largest number of options to choose from so you’ll never have to worry about not being able to find something to pick for that special man. You’ll be able to find the traditional silk and satin prints that give you extra comfort but don’t overlook the whimsical ones like Mr. Potato Head, Hong Kong Phooey, ALF and Curious George. Sizes range from Small to X-Large and prices go from $5.95 to $16.95 depending on the style and material. The flannel ones are great for holiday gift giving and if boxer shorts aren’t your thing you can also choose from lounge pants. If I had to pick a favorite from this section it would be between the Hershey Kiss print [$11.95] and the Sponge Bob Valentine print [$11.95]. Another section to check out would be the boxer brief area, this is for the man [or woman] that wants a snug fit that won’t ride up or bunch up under clothing. These are so comfortable that I wear these as shorts or when I am at the gym. There aren’t a lot of different styles to choose from but generally you’ll be able to find 6 – 10 different styles or colors.
Women’s
By far the smallest section on the site, but the most diverse. You can get anything from thongs to sleeper sets, bikini briefs to lounge pants and more here and all for a price that won’t break the bank. This is the only place that I’ve been able to find the 2 piece Muppet underwear set [Fozzy, Animal and Gonzo are my favorites] and for $24.99 for the set – it’s a great deal. One of the most comfortable all cotton things I own came from this site – the Paris Blue black cotton thong [check out this URL for the photo www.webundies.com/vmb4101097.htm]. At $5.95 a pop, these aren’t just comfortable, they are a complete steal. My next purchase from the site will include the Marvel character “The Punisher” bikini bottoms [$8.50] – I’ve never seen these anywhere else and am dying to get my hand on them. You’ll also be able to find “underwear by the week”, the American Girl Collection, Wonder Woman 2 piece set and the usual floral and flower patterns.
Children’s
I’ve ordered a few boxers for my sons from this site and they have all be huge hits with them. You’ll be able to pick up the usual kids favorites like Scooby Doo and Sponge Bob as well as dinosaurs, assorted sports designs and comic book characters. Prices range from $5.95 to $16.95 and there are a few combo packs available. Overall I am really impressed with the quality of the boxers I’ve purchased as well as how they have held up to a lot of use by the boys. They are pretty hard on clothing in general but more so on underwear and undershirts and barring a little fading [that is to be expected after 20+ washes] these look just as good as when they were purchased. Among their favorites – Justice League, assorted dinosaur designs and the Sponge Bob pajama set.
Other Sections
Looking for a bargain? Check the sale section often for steals and deals including The Simpson’s, Looney Toons, Sponge Bob, Dr. South Park and Scooby Doo. These items change on a regular basis so be sure to check the section often for your favorite characters. Discontinued items can be found in the ‘closeout deal’ section and this is where you’ll get the best prices on seasonal items and things that aren’t exactly the hottest sellers and have been axed from production. This is a great way to stock up on fun boxers or if you are a collector you can buy them all and wait for the demand to rise. You’ll be able to find Halloween, Valentines Day and other holiday prints as well as lounge pants, bikini bottoms and other assorted oddities. I check this part of the site about once a week to try and get my hands on as many of the Halloween prints as I can – my pride and joy being the ghost design that glows in the dark [www.webundies.com/ud302b24.htm].
Shipping Options & Fees
UPS is available if for $6.95 per order for ground service, 3 Day Select for $2.00 more [$8.95] and 2 Day Air for only $12.95. Not bad when you need something in a hurry. If you really need it fast, you can have your order delivered Next Day for $23.95. If you are looking to save money when shipping and aren’t really concerned with how long it takes to get your order, you can have them shipping via the Post Office for a flat rate of $4.50 or free for orders over $65.00. Priority Mail delivery is available for an additional fee but I suggest calling to see if they have any specials [like free shipping or free upgrade] that will allow you to expedite your order a little. I’ve always tried to take advantage of the free shipping when it is offered – especially when doing holiday shopping or planning ahead for gifts for friends birthdays.

I’ve dealt with a lot of online vendors and I have to say that this small but highly efficient company is in the Top Five. I was a little skeptical about ordering from them since they didn’t list a toll free customer service number on their page but when I had questions about products and order, they were all answered in an extremely timely fashion. I’d rather be able to email a company and get an answer in a few hours than deal with calling a toll free number and having to play voice mail tag or being put on hold. Plus you have the added comfort of having all your correspondences in your email box in case you need to find out a tracking number or who answered your email. So far I’ve been more than happy with the service I’ve received, how I have been treated as a customer and the quality of goods I’ve received.
Payment Options
You can pay for your order with your MasterCard, Visa or American Express but at the current time they do not accept checks or money orders nor do they have a toll free order line. I’ve used both MasterCard and Visa at the site and was never over billed, double billed or charged an amount different from what was listed when I processed the transaction. I’ve never had to make a return to the site so I don’t know how quickly the process the credits for returned merchandise but if you have a concern about this, please email them at info@webundies.com.
Return Policy
Refunds and exchanges can be made within thirty days of your purchase. Please enclose a copy of the invoice when making a return and make sure that the item is new. If you encounter a defective item, please return it to them for a refund or exchange but please, make sure it’s clean before you mail it to them. You can get all the necessary information about making a return at the site, simply click on the Customer Service tab then look for the ‘return’ section. I’ve never had to make a return to WebUndies so I am not sure how long they generally take to mail out a replacement or issue a refund but if this area of service is handled the way the rest of the site is managed, it should be taken care of quickly and efficiently. The Bottom Line
As I stated in the beginning of this review, if all website were structured this way [easy to navigate]. Has great customer service and easy to understand shipping rates I am sure more people would use the internet to get the best prices on products. WebUndies has always come through for me and I’ve never received an item that was less than what I expected and in most cases the quality of the good received were of a lot higher quality than I initially anticipated.
