Over the winter holidays I bought many gifts for friends and relatives from overstock. I purchased four bread makers at $40 a piece. (Which all worked wonderfully and were excellent buys.) I bought a beautiful pearl necklace and art books that arrived within 2 days of ordering. I order my two favorite house decors a animal rugs and a stained glass turtle night light. Both came very quickly and I adored. I also was able to get discounts from 247malls.com which was excellent. When I had to pay for shipping the cost was only $2.95 which was very economical.
I did have a some trouble with an order of a fax machine for my father and myself. One was dead on arrival, and the other never showed. This was very quickly remedied by shipping back the dead one for credit. They ship back for free. The Customer Service Representative was also able to track down the missing fax and debit my account. Also a telescope that I bought my brother had a loose lens and was not the type that I needed. They also took the telescope back no questions asked and even though the return was later than expected quickly debited my account. I have to say even though I had some bad luck with receiving broken equipment the fact that I can get a helpful human on the phone who quickly remedies the problem, makes me even more dedicated to overstock. Did I mention that I also bought a microwave and received a whole set of Oliver Stone videos for free as part of an excellent promotion. I highly recommend this store for those of us who do not like to noodle around the malls.
