Pros: Beautiful lounge, excellent restaurant, especially the cheese cave and wine selection.
Cons: No smoking allowed anywhere inside the building.
The Bottom Line: Stay during the rainy season and take advantage of the theatres and museums right down the street and do happy hour in the lounge. The restaurant is also excellent.

| ingridpop's Full Review: The Heathman Hotel |
We stayed at the Heathman for two nights in June, 2003.
The rooms were a bit small, but had a nice European/Boutique hotel feel. The French Press coffee and electric tea kettle were nice additions to the otherwise understated rooms.
I would love to go back during the rainy season, as I think this hotel is best enjoyed on a rainy evening, during happy hour in the lounge playing cribbage in front of the warm fire, listening to the piano jazz.
If you are staying elsewhere but want to check out the restaurant, start by going to happy hour in the lounge, the prices are great, then on to the theater or symphony next door, then to the bar in front to sample the cheese selection. This would be a classy but relatively inexpensive night out on the town. (We got $5 ballet tickets at the theater next door!)
