The Bottom Line Filtering out songs is impossible; Napster server on Private Island; Aimster Encrypter; ...... Napster is staying up and will be a profitable business if they get advertisers on their server.
Let me simply begin my tossing some statistics to everyone about how much money I have saved so far: 107 Cd's burned (copied) at $0.60 a CD = $64.20 This is how much I have spent 107 Cd's that could have been bought at the Music Store at $17 a CD = $1,819.00. Wow! A savings of about 1700-1800 dollars! Now think about how many people out there are at their computers right now, burning music so that they can play in their car stereos, computers, walkmans. This is the main problem that the music industry is having. They believe that Napster is making them lose sales. The retardedness of all of this is that music sales have actually gone up! Sorry to use such a word as retardedness (if it even is one :P) but the music companies are so selfish. They want more more more! Just like them rodents in Africa that for 3 weeks in the year go and mate with as many other attractive female rodents. Here is the situation. All you have to do is download the Napster program, type in the Title and Artist and BOOM, you have a listing of other users who have the matching titles. Simply click the Download Button and within minutes you will have the song. Can you imagine Britney Spears sitting at her computer watching millions of users download her "great" music. I'd love to see her face. Some Reasons Why Napster Will Not Shut Down The Metallica situation First off, I must say that Metallica is washed up. Yes, they had their glory days with songs such as "One" and "Enter Sandman" but now they are just brutal. As they contacted their accountant to view their Third Quarter earnings for the fiscal period, they noticed that they had made only $600. They started to pick on Napster saying that they were violating copyright laws and that they will be sued if they do not filter out the Metallica songs. Napster didn't want to get in trouble so they banned users who attempted to download the songs. Within minutes there was already a crack for banned users and for any users that wanted to download Metallica without getting caught. It's impossible to stop any songs from being downloaded, hackers and programmers are the smartest people on earth. Ask Sharkie when he tried to hack into epinions.com to try to make his earnings read $2123.06, lol. (Just kidding by the way). Aimster? What the Dilly is Aimster? I read an article in the paper about Napster and a new program called Aimster. Frankly, there have been a lot of articles on Napster and I found this one to be the most interesting. I don't even know when Napster is closing; it seems everytime it gets extended because of the prolonged court hearings. I heard last weekend, I heard Friday at 7pm, I heard today at 9! *checks his watch 9:02*. Ok, I just went to Napster and the good files are still there. Well what Napster is doing is banning certain files from being displayed on searches. If you have songs from popular artists like Eminem, Britney Spears, or Backstreet Boys, then when you do a search those titles will not be there. Now heres where Aimster's Pig Encoder comes in. You enter the server Turn the Pig Encoder On and Click Encrypt Napster retrieves your title and artist names but Napster is given different titles ie. Nsync = syncN Britney Spears = ritneyB PearsS u2 = 2u (Bad example since there are only 2 combinations of u2) So as the Pig Encoder gets downloaded like a plague, everyone will have it. Napster will be unable to filter these songs, because they keep getting encrypted and decrypted with other users. Napster is basically trapped in a corner. Its going to be so funny, because the Music Industry is going to be fuming. *gives a round of applause to Aimster.com* Everyone should go download it! The Idea of the 21st Century that No One thought Of Ever seen on CBS News those Cubans that try to come to America on their $2 inflatable boats? Ever seen a whole bunch of people standing back from the water waiting for the guy to run onto land so they can stop this relative of Elian? Why? There are no laws on water; no government, no water. An interesting concept. A student of the University of Waterloo in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada (eh!) is planning to team up with Napster to set up the main server on a private British Island where there are no laws and as a result, Napster is saved for everyone!! What brilliance! Why didn't I think of it! How does Napster even get money?? Usually to get money for a service, a company such as this would get members to pay a per song fee or a flat rate fee for a month. Napster does none of this. I have only seen one advertisement and that is from ShopNow.com. Why only one? Napster needs to incorporate an advertisment bar on their server. Get lots and lots of clients to pay money per ad (kind of like a Get Paid to Surf Adbar). Final Thoughts Filtering out songs is impossible; Napster server on Private Island; Aimster Encrypter; ...... Napster is staying up and will be a profitable business if they get advertisers on their server. |
