| martymar65's Full Review: Ritz Red Egyptian Cotton Kitchen Towels (5-pc) |
You know, I never thought I'd write a review on dishtowels of all things, but when I saw these on Epinions, I thought I'd write a quick review to let you know that if you're thinking about buying dishtowels, the Ritz Egyptian Cotton towels in the 5 pack have been, in my opinion, good quality and durable towels.
I purchased this set, (and the "brother" set that goes with them in black and white) from Bed, Bath and Beyond. I recently redecorated my kitchen from boring 80's faux "wood" motif to a nice, crisp, black and white design with red accents. I searched all over the place for towels to go with the kitchen, and finally found and purchased the Ritz towels. (Seems that red and white and/or black and white towels are difficult to come by around here for some reason.)
The stitching on the towels is well-done, as well as the thickness of the towels. They launder well, and I've had them for just about 2 years now, and I have to say that for the exception of a little stain here and there, they've been great. The lighter of the towels, meaning the one with the most white on it stained easily,(my fault for using it rather than a paper towel,) but laundered well enough that I could still use it and leave it out in the kitchen without it looking like a rag.
The label on the towels says that they're 100% Egyptian Cotton, and there's a catch phrase on the label that says something like "making friends daily" or "making friends all over the world." They've become "friendly" to me, and I would recommend them to everyone looking for a good value for the price. 5 towels for $9 averages out to about $1.80 a towel. I think that's a good deal.
They're pretty absorbent too and I've found they work better and are more absorbent when I don't use too much fabric softener.
Buy these towels. You won't be dissatisfied.
