Ordered bathingsuit on-line - first the online form wouldn't accept my code for 'free shipping' which JC Penney had emailed to me, so I had to call and complete my order over the telephone. Then, after placing order, received email confirmation that item was in stock and would ship following day. Two days later, received email with invoice number and tracking link, which indicated item was shipped UPS. After waiting a week for UPS to arrive, I telephoned cust. service. Their rep said item was never shipped and wasn't even in stock and they didn't know when they would have any more. Since I wanted bathingsuit for vacation, I asked when it would actually ship - she said they didn't know and would mail me a postcard when it came in to ask me if I still wanted it. She had a very 'oh well' attitude. Can online shopping get much worse than this? I suppose if they charged my credit card, which I will check today. Now I have a week until vacation to shop for a bathingsuit - I wish I had ordered from Land's End. I shop on line a lot from many different companies and have never had this happen with any other company. If you want the item ordered and don't want to wait a week for the UPS driver to deliver a non-existent order, order somewhere else.
