I have wasted too much of my life trying to fix the mistakes Cingular service representatives have made with my account. A thousand monkeys on the phones would do a better job than their staff.
The day I got the phone, my local sales rep had to talk to a customer service rep's boss just to get the rep to recognize that the fact that my employer sent me to live abroad does not mean I have a sketchy past. Then, before going back to that country for 3 months the following summer, I called customer service to put my phone on vacation mode so we could continue service upon our return. When we got back, we discovered our phone service cut off, and threats to sic the creditors on us for missing payment... which the rep told me we could pay when we got back!
It took a couple months of calling customer service to fix this, and several reps miscalculated what was owed to us -- one even told us we owed more!!
Another time, I paid our bill over the phone with a service rep... only to discover the payment was credited to someone in Florida!
Then, just last night, the "system" decided to tag our account for suspension starting March 2005. The customer service rep this morning said she didn't know how that happened, or how to fix it. When the computer did that last night, somehow it also suspended our service for 10 hours.

Second, I can only get good reception in one particular room in my university library. Otherwise, outdoors or in, my reception is pretty bad. And I live in the city!
