I bought this computer back in late August of last year. The Presario had been out for a little while and I was intrigued by it's ability to change colors. I found that a neat feature. This was my first impression that got me to investigate further on the computer.
When I first looked into the actual hardware of the computer, I was noticing it had a lot of the things I wanted in a PC. It had the Pentium III, which was number 1 on my list of things I wanted in it, the MHz were pretty good (about 900), and the speakers were pretty decent sounding.
I eventually bought it. When I first started using it I noticed that the graphics card wasn't too hot. Some of the games that I put on it ran slow. Some of them even made all the scenery a rainbow of colors. I got a piece of paper and wrote down, new graphics card. This would be my list of things to get.
I then got to the point where my hard drive was starting to fill up. With only about 20 GB, I personally was starting to find that that wasn't enough space for me. I needed at least another 10 GB. Number two on my list: more space.
I was then tempted to put a hammer on my list as I tried to work the CD-RW drive. When I was first trying to use it to copy important files and disks, I was having a hell of a time getting the damn thing to work. Every time it would tell me that it could not copy onto the disk. I was ready to fix it my own with (yes with the hammer.) But finally I was able to fix it. I don't know why, but Memorex CD-RW disks are the only disks I am able to copy onto using my drive. It may just be mine, but I didn't like it since they can get pretty expensive. Scratch the hammer from the list.
The computer was fairly easy to operate though. I like this part of it. I don't have to do much to learn how to operate it. In my eyes, this is always a plus when I get a new piece of equipment in my office.
All in all, I would rate this PC are pretty good. Aside from the few glitches that I noted, I like my computer just fine. I just recommend that you get one with a better graphics card than the one it comes with. Also, if you're like me, get one with a little bigger hard drive.
