Beware of : Return Shipping & Additional Charges

We are in dispute with Kohl's over their deduction of a $9.95 shipping charge on a returned merchandise credit. This delivery charge was incurred and paid for during the initial purchase, and I paid further shipping to return these same items. Now they want me to pay an ADDITIONAL $9.95 for no legitimate reason, even though I’m already out $20.15 in shipping. Without return of this charge this means that I have paid out $30.01 for shipping with nothing to show for it! This is a dishonest business. Nowhere does it state on Kohl's web site that they charge ADDITIONAL shipping charges on returned items by deduction from credit due. They do not charge a restocking fee either. This is no better than extortion for doing business with them and returning merchandise. I refuse to pay, and want them to refund my purchase in full like honest companies do. They claim their merchandise must be defective to be returned without cheating a customer out of ADDITIONAL shipping charges. Kohl's is out NOTHING on this transaction. Khol's only complaint is that I didn't keep their merchandise, and as a result have decided to penalize their customer for doing so. Kohl's customer support was impossible to reason with, and had the gall to refuse discussion of my order because our credit card was submitted for payment with a different name. I have documented permission to use that card and am listed as on the credit card account, but this did not impress them and they would not bother to check and confirm this information with the bank that issued the card. I've never dealt with a worse company in my life.
