Pros: Excellent all-around printer
Cons: For some people the printer's size may be an issue
The Bottom Line: I've compared this printer to other large format printers on the market. For our purposes (which has nothing to do with printing photographs) this printer was the best choice.

| jackvmae's Full Review: Epson Stylus Photo 2200 Inkjet Printer |
Although this printer is promoted largely on the basis of it's great photo printing qualities, I did not purchase it for that purpose. I simply needed a large format color printer that would be useful in a graphics office where we produce a lot of promotional material.
As an example of this printer's capability, we used it to produce an order for a few dozen calendars. Each sheet was printed on both sides with full color images. Our cost for doing this job in house was significantly less than sending the job to a commercial printer, and the results were excellent.
A few of the features I really like about this printer include:
- Almost no paper jams: so far we have printed about 2000 sheets and have had maybe 5 sheets jam on us.
- Ink cartridges for 7 different colors save us money on ink because we only replace the ink cartridge that is empty.
- The software works well and is not difficult to figure out.
- The printer handles thick cardstock: this printer has three different paper paths, one of those paths is perfectly straight for thick stock.
- The printer can print useable film positives (acetates), something we need to do frequently in our office.
