I read through the reviews prior to using E-Loan and wanted to share my experience. The whole process was easy as can be. The customer service was second to none. (Ask for Patrick). They worked with me from the start to the end & I never had to leave the house.
Start: fill out the criteria you are looking for & review the rates. If you know your credit score - you can input that so you get the exact interest rate offered.
2nd: Fill out the on-line form
3rd: Receive a call from the company - mine came in probably 2 minutes
4th: E-Loan reviewed the details of the loan - worked out a couple of issues we personally had to deal with
5th: Once issues were resolved - called them back - pulled up credit info again & process started
6th: Faxed a copy of the appraisal we had done & some other paperwork from our original mortgage
7th: Received a call from the notary to schedule an appointment
8th: Signing done and our house & received funds approx. 6 days later
While doing all these steps - was able to review the entire process & where we were in it on the web as well as received emails.
