HP K80xi and WIN XP driver problem -- NO ISSUE - see my review!

Pros: FAXES, COPIES, SCANS, and prints all in one unit, and usually fast!
Cons: You can't scan something that is NOT flat, which some people consider a problem.
The Bottom Line: I think HP has always been a leader in printers and hope they continue to manufacture products with good quality and good support!

Well . . . I was very upset to see a number of reviews that said when I got my new computer, I would not be able to use my new K80xi By HP with WIN XP. So, I immediately got on the phone and called XP, cause this would not do!
The first contact at HP said that the K80xi had no XP driver (WRONG), and they turned me over to TECH SUPPORT whom they said would help me with my dilemma.
The tech person I had was named RIAL and very very helpful, and immediately ( or almost, as soon as he could get me to STOP TALKING for a minute ) and explained there was definitely a driver for XP and would immediately sent it out to me but it could be downloaded from the website by anybody for free!
Go to: www.hp.com
and then DOWNLOADS, then your model number, et cetera ( that is the gist of how it goes )

So there IS a driver for XP, 2000, NT, even WIN95!

Now on to how I like my multifunction machine -- the K80xi.
I like it - generally speaking! Great for making fast, clear copies; faxing not a problem; quality of print is not as crisp as I would like but acceptable; and photo printing has been excellent, too; but the price of cartridges ( and watch how they size them ) is a little pricey in my book, and not what I had been used to. You can stack numerous items to be copied or faxed in the stack unit - definitely a nice feature on this unit.
Bottomline, I like it!
