Pros:The orange scent lasts for days
Cons:Milder than the power of Tilex
The Bottom Line: I only gave it an above average rating because it's not as strong or as nasal cleansing as Tilex.
Orange Clean is inexpensive, powerful, and leaves the perfect scent behind.
I enjoy using Orange Clean mainly for two reasons: It is in my budget (I paid $3.50) and there are alternative products to it that work just as well. These alternative products can be found at the Dollar Store (no joke). They look just like the real bottle and are just as powerful (believe me, I tried them). I bought mine at a Dollar Bills store in Chicago Illinois.
However, whichever one you choose, you will be content with the results.
THE PRODUCT:
Orange Clean comes in a transparent orange bottle, complete with a spray top that has 3 settings: "Spray," "Stream," and the safety setting, "Off." It may sound like common sense to you that "Off" is a setting, but believe it or not, there are still many products out there that do not have an "Off" choice, such as the generic brand Windex bottles I find at ALDI or BIG LOTS.
THE USES:
I use Orange Clean for my apartment cleaning service. I never had one complaint about the scent it leaves behind, and it's mild enough to use around children and pets. I use Orange Clean in the bathroom in areas including the wall tiles, the vanity, around the outside of the toilet, and even the floor (because I hand wash the floor).
In other places of the home, you might try using it for your file cabinets, non-wooden tables, television, fans, non-wooden desks, phones, refrigerators, microwaves, and stoves. Of course, there are more uses such as cleaning your pet's cage, cleaning wall fixtures such as frames and clocks, and best of all, cleaning those ashtrays with the nasty residue (works like a charm for ashtrays).
HOW TO USE IT:
If your cleaning a large surface, such as bathroom tiles, lightly mist Orange Clean all over the whole surface. Let stand for approximately 3 minutes, and wipe clean with a cotton cloth or paper towel. Repeat as needed, but repeating only one more time does the job for me.
HOW OFTEN TO USE IT:
I use Orange Clean once every 2 weeks in my place, then I switch to a milder strength (such as your regular all-purpose cleaner) for easier jobs.
WHAT YOU CAN GET RID OF NOW THAT YOU HAVE ORANGE CLEAN:
You can finally get rid of that horrible-smelling vinyl floor cleaner you use in your bathroom. If your bathroom tiles don't require a tremendous scrubbing, get rid of that almost too powerful-throat-swelling Lysol product. And last but not least, I don't have to waste my Windex anymore on surfaces other than windows (ie. Windex can be used for plastic, non-wooden surfaces too).
WHY IT'S SAFE:
Orange Clean (and the Dollar Store alternative) does not contain any harmful acid or bleach ingredient, so you can use it around your precious little ones and your much adored pets.
THE BOTTLE SIZE:
Orange Clean comes in an approximate 22 fluid ounce bottle, enough to use in your bathroom 9+ times (yes, I've made a mental note).
ANYTHING ELSE TO SAY:
I know everyone will appreciate it's nice orange scent. It's nice to smell that as soon as your open your front door.
Please just make sure you do not use Orange Clean on wooden surfaces. They make an Orange clean wood formula for this purpose, but only in select stores such as ACE Hardware, Mendards, and I've seen it a few times at at Sam's Club.
Other than wood, Orange Clean will not ruin any surfaces and won't leave an unhealthy shiny film afterward.
