I purchased these speakers to use with my Sony Discman. After a couple of months, I started getting a flutter which worsened as the dynamic level increased. Basically, the speakers blew out. I contacted Sony. Their representatives had to forward my call three times until they got me to the right department. Of course, I spent a lot of time on hold. All told, I spent 45 minutes on the phone. Finally, they agreed to replace the speakers. To their credit, they did so fairly quickly - two weeks. However, after only a week, the new speakers had the same problem - the same flutter sound at the high end of the dynamic range. I called Sony again, wasting another 30 minutes on the phone. Their representatives will not agree to a refund. All they will agree to do is replace the speakers again. I believe they have an inferior product that should never have been put on the market. Given the fact that I'm using these speakers with another Sony product (a discman) there is no excuse for their having blown out with normal use.
