Pros: lasts a long time, recharge anytime (no memory)

The Bottom Line: It's a great battery, well worth the larger size and price.

| blakebrenneman's Full Review: Sony InfoLithium M Series Battery with SQ NPQM91 |
After using the NP-FM30 which was included with my Sony DCR-TRV18 digital camcorder, it got to be a pain constantly charging the battery after only one hour of use.
So, I finally bit the bullet and sprung for the QM91. The price at Sony.com was outrageous ($149.99, ouch!) so I got on ebay and found a "buy it now" for $60. I received the battery in the mail about 5 days later. I ripped the box open and... woah! this was a giant battery (for a mini-dv camcorder). The box says it's 5.9x the life of the FM30, well it's also about 5.9x the size of the FM30.
So I put it on the camcorder, it fit nice and snug, and plugged it in for about four hours to get a full charge. If you purchase a charger with SQ (Super Quick charge) capability it cuts the charge time in half.
After that was done, I extended the viewfinder, turned the camera on and I was off to the races! The QM91 gives me about six hours of regular use (stop and start recording, zooming, occasional lcd screen use, etc.)
Because it is lithium ion, you do not have to worry about the memory effect. You can charge it whenever you like with no problem.
This is the perfect battery for someone needing to use their camcorder for extended periods of time, on long vacations, etc. I highly recommend it.
