I tried this website because I was looking for several older Dramas. I was having difficulty finding these movies elsewhere and was able to locate all of them here, although some were temporarily out-of-stock.
You will want to register in this site before you begin shopping. You will go under new customer and enter your name, a password, address, and e-mail. You do not need to enter a credit card number to register. I like that. After you are registered you can begin to shop.
To find your movie just go to the website and you can type in the name of the movie. You will get all they have in stock and all they can order, from older versions in black and white to colorized, and remakes. There is a button that says 'more information.' You can push it to check on availibility and get information about who directed and stars in the film. There are not as many options with newer movies but that is self-explanatory.
When you find a movie you like you can press add to cart. Any item can be removed at any time by clicking remove or by putting a zero in the quantity section. Go to the website and this will all be clear. It is easy enough for my 8 year old to shop on.
There is also a button you can click to be notified when a particular movie that is out of stock becomes available. They will send you an e-mail to let you know! What could be more helpful?
I ordered 4 movies that I was unable to find on other sites and the price ranged from $6.16 for a VHS copy of "The Crucible" to $18.09 to a copy of "Death of a Salesman," which I chose the more expensive DVD for because I prefer DVDs to VHS tapes.
Later, I was able to find "The Crucible" on another site but the price was over twice what I paid. I was also able to find a couple of the others for prices that were anywhere from 25% to 70% higher. Many of these would have required a longer wait.
All items could be ordered on DVD but I am impatient and wanted what I wanted now! Most items on the site can be back ordered with a 7 - 10 day wait and this is fine for most people. If you are impatient though, you may have to take whichever is available DVD or VHS.
When you are finished you can go to the top of the page and click on check-out. You will see several shipping options with all of the prices laid out in black and white. You pick which is best for you. I found that Fed-Ex 2 day delivery was the same price as regular USPS for my order. This is wonderful for impatient people. When you have entered all of the necessary information through a secured site you will be prompted to print the page.
There are also options for gift and shipping that is different than the billing address. There is also a place to enter a message for a gift. This is a great option for holidays or birthdays.
After your finish you can check out your e-mail and see the order you just placed.
After the order is processed you will receive an e-mail notifying you of the ship date. My order shipped the day after I placed it and with the Fed-Ex 2 day shipping it was only 3 days from placing the order to watching a movie. This is a dream for a person who just can't wait!
All together, I ordered 1 VHS and 2 DVDs, all of very hard to find movies. My total cost was $68.47. This was half of what I expected to pay because of the particular movies I was looking for. Many movies that are newer were prices at $9.99 and some below. These are all new movies and have not been played by hundreds of people. They are a better value than the battered movies you can buy after the video store is done renting them.
I would suggest taking a look at this site if you are looking for a movie. The prices should speak for themselves and the site is easy enough for a child to operate. Follow the prompts. There is no way to get confused or lost.
