Pros: Upconverts all signals to progressive scan. DVI-HDCP connector. Aspect ratio zoom is awesome.
Cons: Does not remember favorites if disconnected from power.
The Bottom Line: Spend the extra, it's worth it for this guy over the Samsung or Zenith.

| coolrat1's Full Review: Sony SAT HD200 Satellite TV Receiver |
Does not remember favorites if disconnected from power.
I just got this receiver and WOW. First if you have a High Def TV and you have direct TV this receiver makes a huge difference, even with non high def programming. I used to use S-Video to connect my DirecTV received and the colors were washed out. This Receiver drastically improved picture quality, because it has a line doubler in it and will up convert all images to 480p or 720p or 1080i.
The DirecTV high def is amazing and this received will also received off-air High def. All incorporated intro a single APG.
One downside is the receiver will not remember your favorites if you disconnect from power, so you will have to reprogram. Also, my old Sony had a grid view for all channels and this one does not have that feature.
