Cons: Ringtones are enough to make you want to throw the phone away.

When I walked into the cell store, I knew I wanted a flip phone. I really could not have cared less what else it offered, I simply wanted something that opened and shut. I picked out the Samsung A310 because it was aesthetically pleasing. I liked the way it looked, so I bought it. You'd think that someone who judged a book by it's cover would end up with a cute, yet tragically terrible phone. I, however, could not be more pleased.
When I used the phone for the first time, I took it with me to an overnight party a few states away. I was amazed with the quality of reception and the lifetime of the battery. I think I used the phone for almost two straight days without charging it. I also am quite fond of the external caller ID display- I am definitely into the colored light thing.
Just when I thought the phone was my dream come true, I began to play with the ringtones.
"Sweet" I thought to myself, "This phone's gonna have the best ringtones".
I scrolled through the first few ringtones and my jaw dropped... The horrible old Nokia I used four years ago had better ringtones than this phone did! I smiled to myself and thought of the ringtones I could download on the Internet. Lil Kim would sound oh-so-good coming through my phone's speakers. I was EVEN MORE DISAPPOINTED to learn that you cannot even download ringtones onto the phone. The Samsung A310 got some serious penalties right there.
Overall, though, I would have to say I'd recommend this phone. I mean, what are a coupla crappy ringtones?? I guess I can deal. I feel like I paid for a quality piece of equipment, and I am pleased with my purchase.
But don't think for one minute that the next time I go phone shopping I wont check out the rings before I buy it.
