Pros: Very small, light, camera is built-in.
Cons: Feels flimsy, max volume too low, overpriced.
The Bottom Line: Until Samsung stands behind their crap products, I'll stick to Nokia.

| mochinyc's Full Review: Samsung SGH-V205 |
I'm happy enough with the phone, but don't expect it to last long - the construction feels really cheesy. I had a problem with it and they weren't helpful at all, which is what I'm going to write about because this was an expensive phone. One of the batteries leaked fairly soon after buying the phone, but the Samsung info says batteries are warranted for a year. Sort of.
The first two people at Samsung were fine (but slow) and wasted an hour of my time setting things up (it takes 3 people to set up an exchange) and then the 3rd told me I couldn't send it in because it's leaking and postal regulations, blah blah blah. But it's leaking because they built a defective battery. Cathy, the repair administrator, claimed batteries never leak. Right. Their production processes are absolutely flawless.
Now I have to spend $50 on a new one (after spending a lot on this phone) even though it should be under warranty. They claim the fine print catch is that leaking batteries aren't under warranty, but what the hell? It's not my fault it leaked. I didn't drop it, charge it wrong, etc. But now I've got to blow another $50. At least I caught it before the leaking battery ruined the phone. Then I'm sure I'd be screwed. So I mostly want to just post about how lousy their repair service is because this could happen to you and you'll be stuck due to some arcane bs rule or something so you're out $400.
