Pros:not really expensive
Cons:to far away from other attractions, being charged for every phone call
The Bottom Line: Location is to far away from the rest of the strip.
no real attractions.snubby little desk clerks.
since this was my first Vegas trip my wife says I should'nt be to judge mental. But I have to have my say.
The stratoshere is spectactular on the outside but as soon as you walk thru the door your opinion does change
to why am I here. The desk clerk would'nt talk to my wife she wanted me to sign everything. And why would you need a deposit for a dam phone.
And if you are staying there it should allow you as a guest to enjoy the view as part of the packaged deal (hotel price) but no they charge for that to.We skipped the view from the deck, how ever we did get a room on the 20th floor that did indeed have a great view of just Lasvegas the city.Another couple we went with got stuck on the 5th floor and their view was air vents and duct work .so try to stay above the 10th floor to actually see anything from your room.
Room service is way to pricy so we opted for just going down and eating at the buffet and a couple other resturants. The buffet was typical eat till your full,
but if your not into buffet style dinners than try a place called Roxy's it inside the casino close to the elevators and reasonably priced ,and they treat you really great and can give you directions to where ever you want to go, my hats off to their employees for the fine service we got evey time we went in there.
The room we got was a lot better then what we expected actually. the couple with us got a tipical bed and bathroom and a tv. Iand my wife on the otherhand got a 2 room suite complete with a refriderator, 2 tv's and a love seat and an arm chair and a great view. The walls are thin and you do hear everything and i do mean evry thing.
House keeping was fair and always on time, but we called every day for an extra pillow and was always told it would be right up and never got it at all.
The casino its self was typical pull and loose pull and win type . But to cash in any winning could be somewhat a great hike to find a change window that was actually open.
And beware of the free pull signs you see while you there nothing in vegas is free all that we seen while we were there meant you have to purchase a ticket for a ride or do what they call $20.00 for $50.00.
Valet parking is something to be desired and i relize that they handle a lot of cars every day and they do what they can as fast as they can,but what i did'nt like was that you have to walk thru all that traffic just to get to the valet window. And while I am on that subject if your going to stay for a few days I would recommend not renting a car and driving the strip unless you like to run the Indy 500 everyday. The streets are always moving and the traffic is always conjested.Instead they do have alternatives the trolly's can and do run the strip as well as the city bus system and you can get off right where you want and not have to worry about parking and having to find your car later.
