Pros: Easy to use, smell nice and are great for quick and easy cleaning.
Cons: If the seal on the package gets wet, it won't reseal.
The Bottom Line: Another great product from SCJohnson. Pick up a pack next time you go to the market. You'll wonder what you did without them!

| martymar65's Full Review: Scrubbing Bubbles Flushable Toilet Wipes |
Yup. You guessed it. I'm doing household chores, again. It seems as if I'm always cleaning something. So, since I'm constantly cleaning, when I find a really great product that's helpful, quick, easy and cheap to boot, I like to tell everyone about it. So how does one get 'excited' about cleaning their bathroom bowl? Read on.
It seems like in the 21st century, everything is coming out in a "wipe" form. I don't know how my Mother or Grandmother survived in the 40's through now without them. I'm under 40, but I can even remember cleaning the toilet with Windex and paper towels, which also works well, however, using these new-fangled wipes removes having to go get the roll of paper towels and the glass cleaner as they're kind of an "all in one" sort of thing.
Scrubbing Bubbles Flushable Toilet Wipes are terrific. They come in a package of 28 pre-moistened wipes from SCJohnson. The amount of wipes that come in the package seem to last me quite awhile before they run out, so I feel it's a good value for the price paid. (I'm not sure why the manufacturer chose 28 and not 30 wipes, but maybe they're in kahoots with the post office? I dunno.) The wipe itself is a good size also; 7 inches by 10 inches. The package is green with one of those cute little cherubic "scrubbing bubble" dudes on the front with a re-sealable flap. I found them in the cleaning isle at the market with all the other bathroom cleaning supplies. I think they cost around $4.
The package says that the wipes are flushable and disperse in water when the toilet is agitated, just like toilet paper, so there's nothing to worry about concerning your plumbing, or if you have a septic system rather than a municipal waste system. I've found this to be right on the money. The package also claims that the wipes are biodegradable, so they're great for the environment. (I'd hate to be responsible for leaving a legacy of non-biodegradable material once I'm gone.)
They're really easy to use too. All you have to do is pull the flap open on the package and take one of the wipes out. They resemble "Wet-Ones" or modern-day "Wash-n-Dry's" for your bathroom. Once you remove a wipe, you have to unfold the wipe to get it to it's intended size. They really are very moist and smell great. I clean the entire OUTSIDE surface of the rim, tank lid, tank and base of the toilet, seat and all.
They're pretty convenient too. I find that when I need to do a quick touch-up on the bowl they're handy to keep under the sink in the vanity (if you have one,) or if you have a pedestal sink, if there's room between the pedestal and the wall, they're pretty easy to store there too. But if you have kids or inquisitive pets, then store them where the little bubble dudes can't get into trouble.
I wouldn't use them on wood seats, nor would I use them to clean the inside of the bowl itself as that's not what they're intended use is for. (And I also would not use them for baby wipes or personal hygeine puposes either.) If you do use them on the toilet seat, allow it to dry before using it as I bet the soap is a bit on the irritating side. The package says the wipes are eye irritant and that they should be kept away from children and pets, so like any product, read the usage instructions before taking them on a spin around the bowl for the first time. Also, if you're going to use a bowl cleaner for the bowl itself, make sure you clean the bowl BEFORE you drop the wipe into the water as they probably would stick to the toilet bowl brush's bristles.
Since I have sand-colored fixtures, my experience is that the wipes leave behind a nice shine and don't streak at all. I'm not sure if I'd have the same results if I had dark-colored fixtures, so you're on your own there if you have dark fixtures. You'll have to let me know if they leave streaks behind.
I've also used the wipes to clean my bathroom sinks and chrome faucets. They have ample soap (they actually do foam somewhat) and don't dry out quickly. If the wipe does dry out while you're using it, simply discard it in the bowl and flush it. (Insert flushing sound here. Ha ha.)
Make sure when you're finished using the wipes that you reseal the package well. If you don't, the first few wipes on the top have a tendency to dry out. My experience with them is to keep them flat when storing them since they have quite a bit of moisture in the package and I've found that if I store them on the end of the package, all the moisture runs to the end of the package. Gravity has a way of doing stuff like that.
These little bubble dudes are convenient, don't cost alot, work well and smell nice too. I'm glad we're living in modern times. I can't wait to see what else is going to come out in "wipe-form."
