Pros: Cool packaging and compact, individually-wrapped little tablets.
Cons: Not the best toilet bowl cleaner I've used.
The Bottom Line: Really not impressed. They don't work well at all.

| martymar65's Full Review: Scrubbing Bubbles Fizz-Its Toilet Tablets |
MartyMar, are you cleaning again? Ah yes, nothing better than to spend a nice Saturday cleaning, but it must be done, so I must clean.
As I've said in other reviews, when I find a cleaning product that saves time, works well and is a good value for the price paid, I like to share my experiences. But, I also feel it's necessary to share not-so-terrific experiences as well to try to help others save money and time when I find a product that I'm disappointed in.
I recently purchased the Scrubbing Bubbles Flushable Toilet Wipes and was really happy with the way they worked, so I thought I'd try SCJohnson's Scrubbing Bubbles Fizz-Its Toilet Tablets too. Being that I had such great luck with the wipes, I thought the toilet tabs must be a great product too. I'm sorry to say, I'm not too happy with them.
The packaging is the same familiar green and yellow with the little cherubic Scrubbing Bubble dude on the front, riding on one of the tablets. They come 10 tablets to a box and it claims that they're "the effervescent tablet that hits the water working." The package also says that they're eye and skin irritant, so like everything, make sure you read the directions and the precautionary statements on the box before using them.
So, here I am standing in the market thinking to myself, "How cool is this? Alka-Seltzer for your toilet! What a great time we live in." The box also claims that they're "rapid action tablets that release their cleaning action as soon as they hit the water." I was excited to get them home and try them out.
Upon opening the package, I noticed ten little individually-wrapped tablets. They're not the easiest to open, however once I got one open, I dropped the tablet into the water and waited to see it go to work. (The directions suggest to drop it in close to the surface of the water to alleviate splash-back, which I did.) I watched the tablet fall into the water and disappear into the waste hole in the bottom of the toilet. I thought "Hmm, I hope it didn't go down the drain. Where did it go?" Then I waited. And waited some more.
I looked at the package again, and it claims that the tablets are "quick dissolving, rapid action tablets." NOT. I noticed I did see some little bubbles "effervescing" toward the surface of the water, however I didn't experience anything like "Poof!", instant foaming action or a magic cascade of little bubble dudes. (I think "pop rocks" from the '80's would have been more effective.) It was actually kind of disappointing, but I thought I'd wait it out and see if the foaming action would increase. The package says they dissolve in 3 minutes. Much to my deflation, the foaming or effervescent action didn't increase. The package also claims that these tablets deodorize your toilet bowl. I didn't smell any sort of scent, nor did it deodorize the bowl.
I left the bathroom and allowed the tablet to sit for 30 minutes to see if it actually would clean the bowl without using the bowl brush. When I came back 30 minutes or so later, the water in the bowl had a cloudy appearance, but the stains from the water line were still there. The package says to use a brush, so I did, and for tougher stains, use two tablets. I dropped in another tablet thinking that maybe the first one was a "bad tab", but....same thing happened. I still had to scrub the bowl anyway, so my thoughts on the matter were such that I probably could have done as good a job without spending the money on the toilet tabs.
I'm sorry to say, they really didn't live up to their claims. I ended up using the trusty old Vanish Crystals, which these days are hard to find but work like a charm after probably being on the market for 50 years or so.
The package also says that they're easy to use, which they are easy to use, but my experience with them was that was about all the box claimed they did that actually was true.
I'm sorry to say that I won't buy these again. Their Scrubbing Bubbles Flushable Toilet Wipes are great, but their Scrubbing Bubbles Fizz-Its Toilet Tablets were somewhat of a "Fizz-OUT." Sorry SCJohnson. I'm disappointed.
