Pros: Price (read on, mcduff) Very High Quality RAM
Cons: Its not 512 meg! Might have to suffer dealing with a Rebate
The Bottom Line: If you see it and are willing to deal with rebate headaches, its well worth it. Lifetime warranty. Big performance gain over old SDRAM.

**updated at bottom**
I had a gift card from a local retailer, since they lost my rebate information and I called them about 1000 times asking if they would make good on it. Lucky me!
So, the weekend rolled around and on Saturday I went and got an advance copy of the Sunday paper (I can find one after 9PM). I love to sit and sift thru the big 5 retailers here, and see who is selling what for cheap the coming week. It seems like they switch off, one week to the next...cd-r, hard disks and RAM can be had for dirt cheap.
What caught my eye was that this memory was being given away. It was only a rebate deal, and it was two forms to fill out and mail in, one to Kingston and one to the merchant. After paying taxes and IF you get the rebate stuff right, it would indeed be cheap ram. Final cost would be about 4 dollars.
Good RAM too, they sell lots of it and has a nice warranty : Lifetime!
So, of course I used my gift card and of course now, im waiting on more rebate money to come in. I am not holding my breath but just counting the days till I can start calling and asking the poor person on the other end of the phone 'did you all get my rebate info?'
I dont like rebate deals, I wish i could pay my money and be done with it...let the superior price attract customers into the store. Dont hold good paying customers over a barrel like that!!
I anticipate that before school gets back into full swing another company will sell this RAM at very cheap prices. Its not always this brand, but if you pay attention you will see it for 10 bucks or less...after the 'you know what'
There is not much one can say about RAM, and for more techincal details there are lots of websites to browse. Corsair has a nice presentation on their site about what each term means and its complete and pretty neat to watch.
This is 184 pin DDR RAM, but its a big performance gain versus older SDRAM. It operates at double the pc133 speed. It is in NO WAY compatible with older 168 pin sockets.
System its in : FIC AD11 mobo, AMD 1.33 cpu, Antec 300 watt p/s
AIDA32 tests this memory @ 1751 MB/s in the read test.
AIDA32 tests this memory @ 464 MB/s in the write test.
I have other applications running at the moment so that would probably alter the results somewhat. Your mileage may vary
Its possible I could change CPU frontside bus timing in Bios and get better results. But I dont need to. I am running at 1/4 of the capacity of this board for RAM and it runs fine as it is. Cannot beat the price.
You can read what I said about this motherboard here http://www.epinions.com/content_106560589444
Update : It took Kingston about 6 weeks to send my rebate, which is astonishingly fast. Two days later the one from the retailer came too. I paid $3.69 for this RAM. Score!!
Id buy an offer like this again, but I need 512 meg. Sometimes the folks at the store pick up on specials, too, and you might have to beat them to it. If you look you can do it too. Good Luck Hunting!!
I did find some 512 meg RAM and here is a little about it http://www.epinions.com/content_108161175172
