The Bottom Line I'm glad I've signed up for DD because after writing this extensive review, I think I'm gonna need carple tunnel surgery. My DD account should help pay off the bills.

At some point in time, everyone one of us has tried this "Get Paid to Surf" program which is said to be very rewarding. I've tried a several different programs (AllAdvantage, UtopiAd, BePaid to name a few) but most of them don't live up to their reputation. DesktopDollars.com is by far the easiest, most efficient, and overall best program I've seen.
Reasons it's the best
1. Unlimited Ads
In most programs, there is a set limit to how many ads a person can view per month. I guess their afraid some loser without a life will sit in front of his computer screen 24/7 chattin it up in the rooms. DesktopDollars (DD) allows this person without a scoatch of social ability to sit there and waste his life. Programs like AllAdvantage (AllAd) put a limit on how much you can look at in a given month so they don't lose too much money. DD doesn't restrict your usage of the program and let's you view as much as you want.
2. DD pays you 70% of the money recieved from advertisers
Every program has its own unique "payoff ladder" that determines how much you and your referrals make. For many of these programs, the payoff isn't very large. Below is DD's payoff rates which can also be found on their website.
Level.....Percentage
You........... 45%
Level 1..... 15%
Level 2..... 5%
Level 3..... 2%
Level 4..... 1%
Level 5..... 1%
Level 6..... 1%
You'll also notice that DD goes 6 levels deep while other similar programs usually only go 4 referral levels deep. This means much more money in your pocket at the end of the month.
3. Paid for referrals
And let's say you view 1500 ads while one of your referrals looks at 2000. In most programs, you only get paid for your 1500 and 1500 of your referrals. With DD, it's different; you get paid for every single ad you and every one of your referrals view. This means more money in less time.
4. Viewbar doesn't intrude on screen
Most programs have this bulky viewbar that only someone with a 82" HDTV that costs $15,000 can have the program running and still be able to do work. This viewbar is compact and sets itself at either the top or bottom of your screen. The bar won't intefere with any of your work or chat rooms which the lame people who have forgotten what the sun looks like greatly appreciate.
5. News ticker and Search Engine
Other programs have attempted to simulate the ease of use of the DD viewbar by adding search engine and news tickers; however, none have been successful. The DD bar contains a compact search engine field and also a news ticker that you can choose from over 25 sources. Just select which news you want to see and the ticker will display it all constantly.
6. You don't have to be "surfing the net" to be paid
To be paid in programs like AllAd, you must be "actively surfing the net." With DD, it's different. You can be working in Word or using any desktop program and you are considered "actively surfing." DD keeps a close eye on those who try to find a way to cheat the system. AllAd and others are easily defeated by people who have programs that keep the mouse moving so you can be active for the whole day and not even be by your computer. In DD, every 20 minutes or so, a small window appears which asks you to hit continue if you want to continue being paid. If you don't hit continue, you will be logged off.
7. Easy account access
With the other programs, you must get onto their web site and go to some members area and type in your username and password every single time. 10 minutes later because the sites are almost constantly down, you are able to view your statistics. Inside the DD viewbar, there is an option that will take you directly to your account page which will show you very quickly how many ads you and your referrals have viewed.
8. Choice of payment option
Every program that I'm aware of sends out a check when you reach a certain dollar amount. DD is pretty much the same. When you reach $30 ($60 for international users) in your account, you have the choice of them sending you a check or debit card. This card works just like any other card; your money is transferred to it and you can go to a store and use that money. It's very easy to use and fast.
There's only one downside to DD. Checks take a long time to be sent out. I'm not sure of the exact length of time, but I think the check is usually sent out between 1 and 2 months after the month is over. It's decent but not great.
