This is a Makita?

The Bottom Line: Spend $40 more and get a 2 speed model.
Let me just state for the record that I have my own home improvement company and we use our tools for a living. With that said we need tools that will hold up to daily use. Makita is one of those brands that you can usually count on to last. The Makita Hp1501k 9/16' hammer drill isn't one of their better products. The trigger is too fast. The power is marginal. The keyless chuck is just plain bad. It either slips or it can never be loosened. After 3 days and 15 each 3/8" holes in concrete grease started blowing out of the front housing. Needless to say, it went back to Lowe's and I replaced it with a Bosch. Again Makita makes great tools, but not this one.
