Pros: small footprint, low cost, lightweight 3.7 lbs., Black printing 12ppm
Cons: no separate large black ink cartridge for black and white only printing
The Bottom Line: If I got one that worked I would be able to better review this model.I would welcome hearing from people who bought this printer and got it successfully working!

I was looking forward to this model. I purchased it the day after it arrived at a nearby Office Depot. Good thing, since I had to return it after speaking with a Canon representative by phone, since it was defective. The lights kept flashing and pressing the buttons as they were telling me to do did not help. After trying several things, the Canon help rep. told me I should return it to the store. I did, and got my money back. I am now skeptical about buying another i250 since I don't know if this is a problem with other ones or just the one I bought. Since it is brand new, the Canon rep. couldn't tell me if this has happened before.
I really do like the design and low cost of this Canon model and would seriously consider buying another one if I knew that other people had purchased it without any problems.
PS Since I had no choices for ratings available for paper handling or ease of use -- I had to mark them with a #1 which really was NOT true -- or at least I didn't have the chance to get that far. I wish there were a choice NOT APPLICABLE.
Furthermore, the question would I recommend this printer to a friend? I would say MAYBE --- if you could bring it back to the store easily, just in case!
