When I decided to sell my condo last February and rent an apartment I was in need of ordering some vertical blinds for these apartment windows. My daughter told me about www.decoratetoday.com as they would have vertical blinds and besides they ship free with UPS. She had ordered wood shutters for her home and was very satisfied with this web site and the ease of ordering. This company is called American Blind and Wallpaper Store and has more than blinds and wallpaper.
I had the apartment management measure all the windows so I would have the correct sizes. I would need four window treatments and one patio door vertical blinds. I wanted the sheer vertical blinds as this apartment would face the north and I wanted to let in more light through these blinds. The opening page of this web site lists all the sections of home decorating that any one would be interested in. They include the following:

Under each of these categories is a full list of special items with which to choose. So I looked under Blinds and Shutters – Wood – Vertical – Cellular – Mini – Roman – Shadings – Woven – Sheer verticals – Pleated – Roller – Shutters – Free Blind Catalog . This gives you an idea of how many areas you could search for just the right item you are looking for. As I was interested in Vertical Blinds I clicked on that item and a window comes up where you can type in your color number or search for a color by name. Then there is a special list of just what you are looking for. If you are interested in a special brand name of blind there is a section here which will take you to that item.
I found that when I clicked on vertical blinds it brought up a full choice of types and styles. You could click on a certain type and a full selection then comes forward. When you find just the type and color you type in the size of the blind that you want. This is when you will see just what the price of that item will be. You will have a chance to check out all the styles and colors and get your price check on each size of blind you will need. This will give you an idea of how much your full order or blinds will be.
I was able to check out three types of vertical blinds that would give me light filtering and the weave of each blind. This company American Blind and Wallpaper Store gives you the option of ordering samples of the special one you are interested in. This cost $5.00 but will go on your order when you order your blinds. The samples were good size and I could match the colors I wanted.
When I decided on which blinds I was going to order I went through the full procedure with each size of blinds I would need and click on the order button. I gave my credit card and it was approved. When you are finished with your complete order it is displayed and you can print it out for your records. They then let you know by e-mail when your order is ready for shipment. You can tract your package and they say it would be delivered in 5-7 days. I was surprised at how soon it arrived in one long compact package. I then had the apartment maintenance man come and pick them up for storage in this apartment until I was ready to move in.
As time and events changes ones plans, my husband passed away in March and my Condo did not sell. The apartment management gave me a six month hold on the apartment and I finally had to let it go. I hated to do this but since I am still living in my condo I will have to do something else if I ever get this place sold. This brings me to my vertical blinds that are still in storage in the apartment building. This company American Blind and Wallpaper Store has a 30 day return policy but I thought it wouldn’t hurt to let them know my problem.
This is when I sent an e-mail to www.decoratetoday.com and told them of my dilemma and they just informed me that under the circumstances I would be able to return the blinds. I was just amazed that they are letting me return them, that certainly is a plus for this company. They suggested that I put my order number on the outside of the box and take it to a UPS office and return them. The package is still intact as it had never been opened. I am relieved as I would have no need for these blinds or would they fit any other window but maybe the patio doors could be used.
This web site also has specials for short periods of time and they will e-mail you these specials if you are interested. They have a telephone number if you have any questions or special items you are interested in 1-800-575-8016. The prices given by this web site are where you can save from 25% to 85% off most retail store prices. I found this out when I compared prices with other web sites or catalog prices such as J. C. Penney. They post on their site that they give 100% satisfaction Guarantee. You can log on to register and set up a scrapbook for all your likes and interest in home decoration.
I did check out their wallpaper borders and they do have a long list of all sizes and styles. I would have ordered some borders when I finally would have moved. They had so many interesting designs and colors and seemed very reasonable. I was just waiting until I moved to measure all the rooms for ordering the right amount. Their site is very secure so I did not have any problem about paying with my credit card. When the blinds are returned they will put the amount I paid for them on account with this company. I have been very satisfied with their services and products and of course their concern for my problems. ONE HAS TO TRUST THAT THERE ARE HONEST PEOPLE WHEN ORDERING ONLINE, LOVE IT WHEN YOU FIND THEM!!
